The Australian Government launches its flagship public diplomacy program for 2019, Australia now, celebrating and engaging youth across the 10 member nations of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), in Sydney on 19 March 2019.
Foreign Minister, the Hon. Marise Payne, will launch the event, co-hosted by DFAT and the Southeast Asia Centre, with special guests Adam Liaw, Michele Ford, the Asia Education Foundation, the Australia-ASEAN Council, Flickerfest, ‘Bridge’ school students and other official guests and dignitaries.
In 2019, Australia now is engaging and connecting youth audiences across Southeast Asia and showcases the depth and breadth of Australia’s relationships in the region.
Our program includes youth dialogue, food and film festivals, cultural and sporting events, and innovative technology forums to support collaboration and exchange between Australia and the ASEAN member countries.
