Taste of Australia with Adam Liaw in Jakarta

There’s little doubt that food brings people together and that Australians and Indonesians share a mutual love of makanan!
From Melbourne’s famous laneway cafes and Sydney Harbour’s fine dining restaurants, to fish and chips on the beach or a BBQ in the park, our food and coffee culture is a fundamental part of Australian lifestyle. And its influences can be seen right across Indonesia in the many excellent cafes and restaurants being opened by Australian alumni.
As one of the most successful multicultural countries in the world, Australian cuisine is truly global. Decades of migration has brought a diverse and rich food culture that is unrivalled. Nasi goreng is as common in Australian family kitchens as steak and veg. Taste of Australia is a celebration of this diversity.
The inaugural Taste of Australia Festival will be held on 13 and 14 April at Lippo Mall Kemang in Jakarta, showcasing culinary and hospitality businesses established by Australian alumni and Australians calling Indonesia home, offering a range of both Australian, Indonesian and international cuisine.
An engaging program of talkshows and cooking demonstrations with notable Australian and Indonesian talent will also be delivered across the two days of the festival featuring guest star Adam Liaw, Australian cook, writer and presenter and MasterChef Australia winner 2010.
See you there!
