Batter up! Indonesia’s First Official Girls Baseball Team

Indonesia’s first national girls baseball team will compete in the 2019 Australian Youth Women’s Baseball Championships in Canberra from 15 – 19 April 2019.
Baseball Australia has been helping build girls baseball in Indonesia through their social impact program, Diamonds in the Rough. Since 2015, members of Australian Women’s National Team squads have travelled to Indonesia to help develop girls baseball while teaching leadership skills and acting as role models and mentors to the Indonesian girls. The program was created with the support of the Department of Foreign Affairs and continues to be driven by local champions.
